Topic: Legislative threats and opportunities for the insurance industry as we approach the upcoming elections
Biography for Mike Purner
Mike Puerner is Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel of Hastings Mutual Insurance Company. His areas of responsibility include corporate governance, compliance, litigation and government affairs. Prior to joining the Company in 2003, Mike worked in private law practice, representing financial institutions and other regulated industries.
Mike currently chairs the Insurance Institute of Michigan. He also chairs the IIM no-fault subcommittee, and participates in the judicial affairs and public relations committees. A graduate of Northwestern University and the University of Minnesota Law School, Mike lives in Ada with his wife Jerri and their two children. He coaches ice hockey and enjoys music and travel.
February Good Works Activity
In February we will be participating in a good works project with the Food Bank of South Central Michigan. More information will be provided at the January meeting.
